2 Wire RTD Pt100

2-Wire RTD Pt100 Temperature Sensors typically have shorter length wire leads due to the fact the resistance of the lead wires is not eliminated in a 2 wire circuit. A Pt100 ohm (Platinum 100 Ohm) sensors has a small .00385 ohms change per degree °C  and the additional resistance from the lead wire, although small will result in an accuracy error.

The Evosensors RTD designs utilize high-quality lead wires and connectors to reduce the potential error, although the additional resistance with longer lead wire will exist.

The use of Pt1000 (Platinum 1000 ohm) RTD temperature sensors in a 2 wire circuit designs produces a 3.85 change per degree °C, this is 10 times more output than a Pt100 (Platinum 100 Ohm) and the larger output virtually eliminates the accuracy error from lead wire resistance.
