Beaded Thermocouple

A Beaded Thermocouple is one the Primary Sensor Designs utilized in thermocouple temperature sensor applications from MicroElectronics to Metal Processing, BioMedical, Research, Testing, overall Product and Process Development along with many others.

  • A Beaded Thermocouple design is the result of welding 2 thermocouple wires together at one end into a small round welded wire bead.
  • The Exposed Thermocouple bead can provide Exceptionally Fast temperature reading and response, especially with the smaller diameter wire designs.
  • The welded thermocouple wires can be Thinner than Human Hair (0.0005") or as Large as 1/8" (0.125") inch diameter.
  • Temperature Operating range -380 F (-200 C) to 4200 F (2320 C)
  • Lead wire is primarily insulated with Flexible PFA or FEP thermoplastics rated to a maximum of 500 F (260 C) and higher temperature fiberglass braid can achieve 900 F (480 C) plus.
  • Higher and Extreme Temperature ranges can be achieved with the use of Ceramic Insulators
  • The lead wire can be terminated with Thermocouple Connectors, Stripped Ends and or Thermocouple pins and lugs.
