Industrial RTD Temperature Sensors

Industrial RTD Temperature Sensors provide a a high level of temperature measurement Accuracy and Stability, along with Rugged design in 2,3, and 4 wire Pt100 and Pt1000 configurations.

A Dual Male NPT or other type pipe fitting thread is typically attached to the probe, allowing the sensor to be securely inserted into the process or a protection tube/thermowell. The male thread on the opposite end of the fitting provides the opportunity to attach a Connection Head, junction box or other devices

  • The NPT Fittings utilized to insert the RTD probe into the process or to connect the industrial heads are commonly made from Stainless Steel
    • 1/2" NPT Male fittings are the most popular configuration for the process connection throughout North America and other common sizes include 3/4" NPT and 1" NPT
    • Connection Heads typically have Female NPT fitting at the bottom of the head to secure the probe, and a Female fitting on side to accept conduit or other fittings to protect or secure the lead wire the instrumentation.
  • Connection Heads - are available in Aluminum, Cast Iron, Stainless Steel or Plastic configurations to support a wide range of temperature applications
    • Designs are available in standard and miniature sizes, along with sanitary washdown or explosion proof capabilities.
    • Wiring Connections are ceramic terminal blocks or signal transmitters providing the popular 4-20mA output and other designs with diverse electronic signal processing capabilities.
  • Temperature Capabilities can be as extensive as the full range of -320 F to 1,562 F (-196 to 850 C) although in most cases the specific applications and cost considerations result in a more specific and narrower temperature range.
    • Lower Temperature -55 to 392°F (-50 to 200°C) design utilizing Plastic and some times Stainless Steel Connection Heads  for sanitary and washdown areas.
    • Mid-Temperature and the Most Utilized range is -55 to 500°F (-50 to 260°C) using the Aluminum or Cast Iron Head
    • High-Temperature -55 to 930°F (-50 to 500°C) utilizing Aluminum, Cast Iron or Stainless Steel connection head
