Type C Thermocouple Connectors

C Type Thermocouple Connectors

What are Type C Thermocouple Connectors?

  • Type C Thermocouple Connectors are designed to accurately transfer the signal generated by the Extreme High Temperature Tungsten–Rhenium Thermocouple Probes to the temperature measurement instrumentation.
  • Connector Temperature Range is determined by connector body material.
    • Engineered Thermoplastic design is rated 400°(200°C)
    • High Temperature Thermoset design 650°F (350°C)
    • Ultra High Temperature Thermoset 800°F (425°C) and Intermittent capabilities at 1000°F (540°C)
    • Ceramic 1200 °F (650 °C
  • Material Content - the metal connector pins within the Type C connectors consists of specially matched Compensating Alloys. These thermocouple pins are NOT made from Type C Tungsten Rhenium thermocouple alloys due to mechanical properties, costs and other factors.
    • Temperature Range of the Compensating Alloy utilized in the male and female connector pins typically is in the range of 32°F to 1600°F (0°C to 870°C). This temperature range should be confirmed with your supplier.
  • Type C Thermocouple Sensors measure temperatures up to 4,200 F (2300 C) and are utilized in a protective, inert, or vacuum atmospheres for a wide range of industries, such as semiconductor, solar and other power generation technologies and aerospace.
