3 mm (.118") Diameter RTD and Thermocouple Probes

3 mm (.118") Diameter RTD and Thermocouple Probes

3 mm (.118") Diameter RTD Probes and Thermocouples are the most predominate temperature sensor design utilized with Internationally made equipment requiring thermal measurement and control.

  • RTD probes (Pt100 temperature sensors) tend to be the temperature sensor of choice with internationally made equipment unless the temperature range is beyond the typical Pt100 design range.
  • Thermocouple probes - Type K has the largest international thermocouple alloy usage as is the situation in the USA as well.
    • Pt100 RTD temperature sensors replace almost all the use of Type T for lower temperatures in international processes, especially in Europe.
    • Type J has a fair amount of demand and Type N is found in many heat treating applications, although Type E thermocouples are very infrequently used.
