A Pt100 is a RTD Temperature Sensor utilizing a Platinum 100 Ohm Temperature Sensing Element.

  • The Pt100 (Rtd) Element is typically encased in Probe (metal tube) or other protective housing.
  • An RTD Temperature Sensor tends to have Higher Accuracy and Stability than other temperature sensors such as thermocouples or infrared, although typically has a slower response time to temperature changes.
